homeFIXology — RV Parts Research

Service Terms

Last updated September 15, 2026

These Service Terms apply to RV Parts Research provided by Ash-Alin, Inc. dba homeFIXology (“homeFIXology,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing RV Parts Research, you agree to these terms.

1. What We Provide

RV Parts Research is an independent information and research service intended to help identify replacement RV parts and evaluate apparent compatibility. Research may include manufacturer documentation, catalogs, service literature, diagrams, specifications, superseded or discontinued part numbers, cross-references, and supplier information.

Your written Parts Research Report may include a recommended manufacturer and part number, the basis for the compatibility recommendation, original or superseded numbers, companion parts, alternatives, purchasing sources, and relevant compatibility notes.

2. What We Don’t Provide

RV Parts Research is not an RV inspection, repair, installation, engineering, or technical-diagnosis service, and it is not a substitute for diagnosis or inspection by a qualified RV professional. We cannot remotely certify the condition of your RV, the safety of a repair, or the suitability of an installation method.

3. Information You Provide

You are responsible for providing the best available accurate information about your RV and the part or system involved. This may include year, manufacturer, model or floorplan, VIN, photographs, labels, model or serial numbers, measurements, descriptions, receipts, manuals, or other documentation.

If additional information is needed, we may request it by email. You should not disassemble equipment, enter an unsafe area, or perform unsafe work solely to obtain information for us.

4. Research Fees

There is no charge to submit a research request. After reviewing the information submitted, we will tell you whether we can accept the request and the applicable fee. Standard Parts Research is generally $29 and Advanced Parts Research is generally $59. You are not charged merely for submitting a request. Payment is required before paid research begins.

5. No-Guess Promise

If we can’t verify it, we won’t tell you to buy it.

If paid research does not produce enough evidence for us to confidently recommend a replacement, we will refund the research fee. This does not mean that every part can be identified or that every discontinued part has a currently available replacement.

6. Compatibility and Availability

Recommendations are based on the information reasonably available to us and the information you provide. RV and component manufacturers may change designs, suppliers, specifications, part numbers, and documentation. Published information can also contain errors. Product availability, seller inventory, and pricing can change without notice.

A Parts Research Report is therefore a research-based recommendation, not an absolute guarantee of fit, compatibility, availability, or performance.

7. Installation and Safety

You decide whether to purchase a recommended part and are responsible for ensuring appropriate installation. RV systems can involve electricity, propane or other fuels, brakes, towing equipment, structural components, and other safety-critical systems. Use an appropriately qualified professional when the work or system calls for one.

8. Turnaround and Communication

We normally review new requests within one business day. Paid research is normally completed within two business days after payment. Difficult cases—particularly those requiring manufacturer or supplier responses—may take longer. If so, we will communicate with you by email.

RV Parts Research is an online, email-based service. It does not include phone, video, or onsite appointments.

9. Purchasing Links and Affiliate Disclosure

Some purchasing links in a Parts Research Report may be affiliate links. If you purchase through an affiliate link, homeFIXology may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate compensation does not determine which part we recommend, and you are free to purchase from any seller you choose.

10. Independent Research Service

Unless we expressly state otherwise, homeFIXology is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any RV manufacturer, component manufacturer, dealer, retailer, or supplier referenced in our research.

11. Limits

We use reasonable care in performing our research. To the extent permitted by applicable law, homeFIXology is not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a customer or third party; changes made later by a manufacturer or seller; improper installation, misuse, modification, or repair; or work performed by others. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

12. Questions

Questions about these terms or a Parts Research request can be emailed to parts@askhomefixology.com.
